Any child or young person who is in care or has recently been in care can complain about how they have been treated.

Do I have rights?


Children and young people in care have rights. This means that you can expect to be treated well and to be cared for properly. The Charter of Rights for Children and Young People in Care sets out your rights.

How can I complain?


If you are 16 years old you can make a complaint yourself.
If you are under 16 you can ask someone you trust to contact us on your behalf. The Guardian for Children and Young Peoplecan also help you.

If you can't talk to us over the phone we can arrange for someone to visit you.
